CULTIVATING THE FUTURE
The Le Cure dell’Horto project is responsible for the creation and maintenance of an accessible vegetable garden in one of the most popular parks in the Cure district: the Area Pettini Burresi, also known as the Giordano Cubattoli Park.
The idea comes from associations and local groups that have been working for some time on urban regeneration processes and awareness-raising activities, by involving the community in the care and management of green areas, and by respecting the environment through the use of spaces for social and cultural, recreational and therapeutic activities, in order to improve the quality of life in the neighbourhood.
Thanks to this winning project of the Municipal Landscapes competition, financed by the Fondazione CR Firenze in partnership with the City of Florence and the Angeli del Bello Foundation, it has been possible to create a vegetable garden for educational and therapeutic activities.
